She always dreamed of working in tech, but in her She always dreamed of working in tech, but in her small town, opportunities felt distant. With no laptop of her own and internet access limited to a local café, the idea of learning digital skills seemed impossible.

But everything changed when she discovered a free online course on digital marketing. Borrowing a friend’s phone, using late-night mobile data, and taking notes on paper, she pushed through. The more she learned, the more she realized that her skills had value beyond her location.

Fast forward a year, and she is now working remotely for an international company, earning in dollars, and mentoring other women in her community. Her reality shifted, not because she had the best resources, but because she had access to digital learning.

Today, on International Day of Digital Learning, we celebrate stories like Hers. But we also acknowledge that millions of women still lack access to the skills and tools that could change their futures. For many, the Internet is a gateway to education, employment, and empowerment. But what happens when that gateway is out of reach?

At Techy Train Incubator, we are working to close this gap, equipping African women with in-demand digital skills and connecting them to global work opportunities, bridging the digital divide, and ensuring that no dream is cut short due to lack of resources.

Digital learning should not be a privilege, it should be a right.

Let’s keep pushing for a world where no matter where she is, she has access to the skills she needs to thrive.

For the longest time, tech felt like something oth For the longest time, tech felt like something other people did; coders, designers, marketers, the "tech-savvy" ones. But here’s the truth: Tech isn’t just for them; it’s for YOU too.

The moment you step into the world of digital skills, everything changes. You go from just scrolling to creating. From consuming content to monetizing it. From thinking, “I could never do that,” to realizing, “Wait… I actually can!”

And the best part? You don’t need a fancy degree or years of experience to start. You just need the right guidance, a willingness to learn, and the belief that you are capable of more. Because you are.

Imagine what’s possible when you invest in yourself; when you give yourself the skills to work remotely, earn on your own terms, and create opportunities instead of waiting for them. Your future is in your hands, and it starts with learning.

So, are you ready to stop doubting and start doing? Let’s make it happen. Visit https://thettifoundation.org/ and take the first step toward turning your skills into success.

That skill you’re about to quit? It’s not diff That skill you’re about to quit? It’s not difficult - it’s just NEW!

We get it - learning something new, especially in tech, can feel overwhelming. One moment, you're excited to dive in, and the next, you're staring at a screen full of code, analytics, or design tools wondering, Can I really do this?

But here’s the truth: Tech skills aren’t impossible; they’re just unfamiliar. Think about the first time you tried to navigate a new app, set up an email, or even use social media. At first, it felt confusing, but with time and practice, it became second nature. New doesn’t mean impossible. It simply means unfamiliar. And unfamiliar things only stay that way until you practice.

Learning to code, manage digital marketing campaigns, design websites, or analyze data follows the same pattern. Every expert you admire, whether a software developer, data scientist, or UI/UX designer; started exactly where you are now, figuring it out one step at a time. The only difference? They kept going. They pushed past the frustration, allowed themselves to make mistakes, and embraced the learning process.

So before you think about giving up, remember:
✅ You’re not failing; you’re learning.
✅ Struggles don’t mean you’re bad at it; they mean you’re growing.
✅ Every time you show up and try again, you’re moving forward.

Success in tech (and in life!) isn’t about being perfect from the start; it’s about resilience, consistency, and belief in your ability to improve. Give yourself grace, trust the process, and keep going. Your future self will thank you.

For @theexcellencejoshua , upskilling women was ne For @theexcellencejoshua , upskilling women was never the final goal, it was just the beginning.

Through Techy Train Incubator, she empowered over 10,000 African women with digital skills, helping them launch careers and businesses. But she knew that training alone wasn’t enough. A skill without opportunities is just potential left unrealized.

She saw the struggle firsthand: brilliant, hardworking women who had the expertise but not the access. Women who were ready to work but had no bridge to the right clients, especially on the global stage. And as always, she didn’t wait for someone else to create the solution—she built it herself.

That’s how @hireemmie was born.

A platform designed to connect skilled African talents to international opportunities, but not just any opportunities. The right ones. Structured, secure, and free from the exploitation that too many freelancers face.

She put in the work to ensure a system that protects both talents and employers. No contract breaches, no unfair treatment; just a seamless, reliable process where African professionals can thrive, and global clients can access world-class talent without hassle.

This is what true empowerment looks like; not just giving people skills, but ensuring they have a place to use them. Creating access. Opening doors. Giving African women not just a voice, but a seat at the table.

One step at a time, one innovation at a time, she is redefining what’s possible. Not just training women, but positioning them for success.

In case you’re wondering why we have been spotlighting our founder for the past 7 days? Well, today’s her birthday, and what better way to celebrate a person than to remind them of their achievements and show them that they have done so much and there’s more that they can do.

Say a word of prayer for our founder as she embarks on this new age, breaking grounds and doing greater exploits that have never been done.

Some people dream of impact. Others create it. @th Some people dream of impact. Others create it. @theexcellencejoshua is the latter.

Our founder’s journey wasn’t just about overcoming adversity, it was about turning pain into purpose. In 2018, after walking away from an abusive marriage with her young son, she faced an uncertain future. Despite holding a degree, she struggled to find stability. But instead of breaking, she built. Through digital skills, she found a way forward.

She could have stopped there. But she didn’t.

She knew that too many women were trapped in cycles of dependency and hopelessness, just as she once was. So she took her story, her pain, and her lessons and transformed them into Techy Train Incubator, a movement that has now trained over 10,000 African women across 35+ countries, giving them the tools to build thriving careers, businesses, and independent lives.

Because of her vision, women who once had no opportunities are now industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and changemakers in their communities.

Today, we celebrate a woman whose resilience has empowered thousands. A woman whose mission is changing the trajectory of lives across Africa and beyond.

Dear Excellence, your impact speaks for itself. The world is better because you chose to rise and bring others along with you.

Your team is indeed grateful to be under your leadership.
